There's a fish in the fountain
C
at the Bai Sheng restaurant
and if you feed it with sweetcorn
Dm
it will whisper what you want
Dm C
it will whisper about the black ocean
Dm
and a mountain that wakes when lightning strikes
A Dm
a meeting with the bartender at the Meridian Hotel
A Dm
The last night on Earth and a song was played
It was the song about the flood against the ark
Say goodnight with one last kiss
that's what you get for listening to the fish
Say goodnight with one last kiss
that's what you get for listening to the fish

Miracle on Götgatan

E B A B... and sometimes C# minor??
I don't know if this song sounds good on any other guitar
I felt like we've grown to never be apart
and when I sing, I sing in your tune
and when I go to sleep I don't look at any old moon, I look at ours
I slip and stumble all confused through the icy streets of Stockholm
but I found what I've been looking for in an art exhibition by Victor Finnigan
It was a mix of Lana Del Rey, Twin Peaks and the american whore
Keep on running, keep on running to make sure
You talked about the 20 yellow roses that were sent to your mother by Leonard Cohen to celebrate your birth and at night everyone was bleeding from their mouths
they had lost their teeth and they were looking for drugs right under the table where we sat
Security guards sent them lost into the darkness (here comes the C#)
Out there is a light, and it will go out
So I need to find it, and I need to find it now
It will spark a brief relief with the sound of Lou Reed and the 5th avenue
And I can sense the end of hurt but I can sense the end of you
And riding dim light buses, running round deep lakes
to match that haunting beat that my body seems to contain
with that beat I heard from the congas in that sweaty little comic store bar
Keep on banging to the sound of passing cars (C#)
But I was happy on that hard cold floor where I spent the night
You made me lose my hands with your song and surrender to that miracle on Neon Clown Avenue
A small lit up greek fast food restaurant
with fluorescent lights and french fries wrapped in wax paper
I can't, I can't, I can't

Scare of the gorgons

D G D G D G D A?
Since I jumped that wall to my school yard
always felt life shouldn’t be so hard
could have focused and learnt some karate
to fight my bullies but instead I had to play smart
Stage lights in my face now I’m shaking
but always felt fear is cooler than faking
should have focused and learnt some guitar techniques
Instead I try to my hardest just to be me
play the same chords we played in your house
but I sing about how I’m missing you now
sneaking into gardens to filch apples
or tried to smoke nutmeg just to see what happens
Sometimes I can’t come up with words for a song
and I need an adventure for my brain to run
I Take a walk with Alex in the hood
and pretty soon we have some problems to run from
G A D Bm
G A ...D
Sometimes life tears you down
hard work eats you up
you try to protect yourself with sleep and TV
but you just end up unhappy
You need a break, you need reality to shake
Since I jumped that wall to my school yard
I never cared for trying too hard
Never bothered by work or hierarchy
bosses or teachers or modern society
Sometimes we take the car down the coast
set up our tent by a lake or the woods
the kids collect branches to build a big fire
to scare off the gorgons make the dark a bit lighter
and before we get to sleep in our sleeping bags
we go hunting for hedgehogs with flashlights
I will them this is what I did with my dad
hope you get the same night feeling I had
Cause ever since I jumped that wall to my school yard
I’ve been feeling like a cave man in a too hard
society I just wanna run from
into the forest to the beat of my tribe drums
Sometimes life tears you down
hard work eats you up
You hear the wild wolves howl from the mountain top
it’s time for that stone age break, you need reality to shake
Sometimes life tears you down
hard work eats you up
but they didn’t build this town for you
they built it for the banks, pollution, profits, shopping centers and hip coffeeshops

The world is a stage, everyday a new film
You can be anyone, you can do anything
ride your horse over the bridge during the apocalypse
the dead are alive and they're hungry
We play in The Pistols, we're Bonnie and Clyde
it's the twilight zone, we have crossed the divide
between reality and the land of no rules
and we ride away into our own night
The rain kept falling and I dreamt of a tan
so we went to Alfredo's attic to write the song about the man
we tried to keep it steady but we couldn't keep up with the hairdressers
My bike got stolen so my knees grew weak
these cameras everywhere make me look like a freak
that night I decided not to participate anymore in your "time project"
C D G G
Grow your hair long, cowboy Jon
Don't wanna live in Starlink
Don't need permission from anyone
don't need no plan to do it
Went back to the old house - they tore it down
jumped the fence, walked the railroad track
You think it's me but I ain't coming back
A D E A
Unfortenately they taught me how to read
how to put chords together to make it sound neat
how to rhyme and how to scream
how to think and how to everything
and say their prayers while letting me down
in an urn blue like the ocean
but I painted it brown just like my horse
and I ride away into my own night
C D G G
Grow your hair long, cowboy Jon
Don't wanna live in Starlink
Don't need permission from anyone
don't need no plan to do it
Went back to the old house - they tore it down
jumped the fence, walked the railroad track
You think it's me but I ain't coming back

A crocodile song
03:33
|
|||
D A Bm G
We are one with the universe
when we dive into the pool
we’re just dust from exploding stars
but I put on my dancing shoes
and head downtown to meet strangers
to feel the dangers of the night
I head downtown to meet strangers
to feel the dangers of the night
Warm vibes slow beats
lure me down to the ocean
and a bar full of cats
I see you dancing in orange
Hey I haven’t seen you here before
But I danced to this song
I can’t decide if it’s happy or sad
But I feel like it belongs
in those backstreets behind the ocean
when the tourists are gone
there’s a mountain full of thistles
and it wakes up to this song
it’s a crocodile song
it’s a warning
someone comes here every winter
to write a book and go off grid
the beach is empty around midnight
we said not to go here but we did
and we lay down watching stars rise
in our kingdom, island time
one day the crocodile is gonna wake up
and that’s the end of you and I
we are one with the universe
when we dive into the pool
we’re just dust from exploding stars
but dust don’t talk like we do
quiet warm night
beats from a distant bar
bet they have coffee in the morning
and I will play my guitar
